In 2006, TBN joined the people of Tonga in mourning the loss of their beloved sovereign, Taufa'ahau Tupou IV. King Tupou was a great friend of TBN and we were honored to have him as our guest on Praise the Lord, as well as officiate at the 2001 dedication of Channel 33, TBN’s affiliate station in Tonga. King Tupou has been succeeded by his son, King Siaosi (George) Tupou V, who celebrates his coronation this month of August. We pray and wish King Tupou V God's blessings and rejoice that the Kingdom of Tonga will go on and Christian television will continue under his reign.
