    The Greatest Gift

    A povery-stricken preacher (Glenn Ford ) clashes with a cold-blooded sheriff and church officals in the 1940's South. The preacher is busily trying to instill in his son Ramey (Lance Kerwin) solid Biblical principles, while at the same time resisting efforts by church leaders that he inject fire and brimestone into his sermons to beef up church attendance.
